If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, then you’ve probably seen the sneak peeks for Jad and Julia’s engagement session and you probably know that I am O B S E S S E D with their photos. When we scheduled their engagement session, I noticed snow on the forecast and mentioned it to them and thought to myself “it’s probably not even gonna snow, this is Virginia.“
The days got closer and the snow stayed on the radar and we stayed in touch agreeing that as long as it was SNOW and not rain, we would continue with our session. Sunday came and it was a real, glorious, snowy winter wonderland!
I was giddy with excitement as I very carefully drove to the Capitol and met Jad and Julia there. I’ve been a photographer for years and never once had the opportunity to do a snowy engagement session and I was BLOWN AWAY by the magic. Jad and Julia were excited and prepped with all the accessories: umbrellas, knit blanket, couple hats and layered outfits. It was such a dream getting to laugh and be amazed by the snowy weather with these two lovebirds and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect session!
So thank you, Jad & Julia for braving the cold and snow for your session! I’ll be oversharing and obsessing and reliving this session for the longest time and I’m now really hoping for another good snow day vs begging for Spring haha!
I had so many favorites so please enjoy more from this magical snowy engagement session at the Virginia State Capitol!
Seriously I could just look through these all day! I’m over the moon with how their engagement session came out and not only was the weather amazing, they had an effortless and totally joyful vibe. It was all laughs and smiles with Jad and Julia and I know their wedding day is going to be just as incredible. I cannot wait for their wedding at Fairview Farms this upcoming October! But until their wedding this fall, I’ll be here enjoying these portraits.
