What a whirlwind the trip up the altar has been for Erin & Michael! Originally a 2020 couple, they planned their wedding day for December 2020 when almost one week prior to their wedding date, Virginia brides were hit with tightened restrictions again, effectively shutting down Erin & Michael’s already planned day for their Historic Mankin Mansion wedding.
How do you manage moving a whole entirely planned wedding day with just days? Well, Erin & Michael decided they were still going to get married. They had a beautiful fall elopement at Historic Polegreen Church and celebrated their marriage while waiting for their wedding day again in November 2021.
And finally it came! The weather was perfect for a wedding day and I was thrilled to celebrate with these two… actually THREE! Erin & Michael are expecting their first baby, due in February and Erin looked like a literal angel with her pregnancy glow and the cutest baby bump!
So plans definitely changed from their planned December 2020 wedding day but it couldn’t have worked out more wonderfully.
Jewel tones were Erin’s chosen color palette and I was in LOVE with the rich fun colors! Historic Mankin Mansion was fantastic and I could type up a whole other blog post about how wonderful their reception space was (Brides, if you’re looking for a way to level up your reception, check out the uplighting during the reception here omg)
It was an amazing day with the loveliest and most fun people and I still cannot get over how sweet it was to see these two light up talking about baby Cooper.
Enjoy my favorites from Erin & Michael’s gorgeous fall wedding at Historic Mankin Mansion!
