What an amazing way to bring in November! Ashley and Ben had the most beautiful wedding at Oakdale in Ashland, Virginia and I was so excited to see them again after their engagement session with me this past spring at Maymont.

I can’t describe how beautiful Ashley was in her tulle and lace long sleeve dress, she looked like a princess and ah, the floral lace appliqués on her dress stole my heart. Ashley even had saved me some lace from her dress’s alterations to include in her detail photos and I was so glad she did!

Oakdale was such a gorgeous venue with so much natural light in the reception space that I knew it was a perfect place for Ashley to have her girls help her with getting ready after they shared the cutest bridesmaids-bride first look!

After some quick photos with the girls at Oakdale, we headed to Ashley and Ben’s church nearby for their Catholic reception. And the excitement in Ben’s eyes when he saw Ashley for the first time was the sweetest thing. After they shared their vows and rings, we headed back to Oakdale for the reception and right in time for golden hour portraits outside!

Since we didn’t have as much time as I would’ve liked for portraits before the reception, we snuck back out during dinner and it was even better cause we got to hang out with some of Oakdale’s sweet cow neighbors!

Ashley and Ben, it was an honor getting to capture your day with all the fun, family, and cows. It was such a gorgeous day and the best way to kick off my November! Congrats to the new Mr & Mrs!
