Springtime in Virginia is so wild. Rain, sunshine, gusting winds and humidity. Being a Richmond wedding and engagement photographer means watching the weather and being reaaaallly flexible with plans. With Taylor and Cameron’s session, we had to move our session from Friday evening to just the next morning because storms were coming through the area and it had been raining that week too. I woke up Saturday to a gorgeous morning and checked out Belle Isle before they arrived. Belle Isle was flooded and with that, we switched to plan B: Brown’s Island. And it was PERFECT!

I met with Taylor and Cameron at Brown’s Island and we were rewarded for our flexibility with the most gorgeous session at Brown’s and down at the Canal Walk! The wind was blowing Taylor’s peach floral dress just perfectly (I died and went to heaven like 10 times during this session) and of course, they were the cutest couple ever so it was the best time.

I loved being able to hang out with Taylor and Cameron, she’s a wedding photographer and Cameron often shoots with her so it was so nice being able to share wedding day stories and just talk and connect! I could tell how much fun they have together and how easy going they both are, it was just a relaxing morning and I loved getting to meet them!
