I met Marine and Matt on the most beautiful Sunday afternoon at one of my favorite RVA places, Belle Isle. The sun was soft and golden, the river not high and reflecting the perfect sky. Marine and Matt were cheerful and so easygoing and relaxed.

Marine and Matt met at their youth group at church years ago and had always been around each other, but always friends until they went on their first date to IHOP to see where things were going to go and here they are, planning a beautiful wedding for next May 2022!

These two were so fun to hang out with, I feel like we could talk for hours! We laughed at how Matt was checking the football scores while walking between spots at Belle Isle and my lack of knowledge of football, how we all worked at Short Pump’s mall and of course talking all the plans for their wedding at their church with a reception at the Science Museum!

I literally can’t express how excited I am for their wedding next year and how in love I am with their session photos. Belle Isle was truly showing off. Golden hour light, blue river water (vs the murky water we sometimes get after a rain!), fall colors hanging onto the trees across the river and an honorable mention to their cool kicks: Gucci sneakers and my personal fave, the white Converse 😉

Whenever a couple decides to do photos at Belle Isle, I almost literally leap for joy because it’s one of my favorite places in RVA since I was a teenager and I get to create more amazing memories there.
