Last Friday I got to meet Matt & Luisa at Libby Hill Park in Richmond VA for their engagement session and I have to say it was definitely one of the most fun engagement sessions I’ve ever done! The weather was perfect and it was a sunny day which made for gorgeous golden hour portraits! Luisa and Matt were so fun to talk with and getting to hear more about them and their sweet pets! Especially since their 5 month old puppy, Max, joined us for photos and I was over the moon!
Dogs are my absolute favorite and Max was such a little star!
Luisa and Matt met on Tinder and Matt was actually Luisa’s first Tinder date! They bonded instantly and the rest was history. Matt proposed to Luisa at home after a romantic dinner at Can Can in Carytown. Matt surprised Luisa with a big heart made of rose petals and candles on the floor and Matt proposed to her there. After the big YES! Luisa noticed her best friends nearby recording the whole thing!
I loved getting to learn more about them and their love of their pets like their puppy Max, two adorable cats Oscar and Emmy and hearing more about their dog who passed away not long ago, Mr. Butters. Luisa brought along a watercolor portrait of Mr. Butters and of course we included him in their portraits too.
This engagement session was one of my all time faves and it’s not hard to see why! Fun and adorable couple, super sweet and fluffy puppy, champagne pop and a trip to the river at Rockett’s Landing made for the best time! I’m so excited to get to share my favorites from Luisa and Matt’s Libby Hill & Rockett’s Landing engagement session!
Thank you Matt & Luisa for making this engagement session one of the most fun ones yet!
I absolutely cannot wait for their beautiful wedding day at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in March!
