For Brides

When you have Harry Potter & Marvel references, thoughtful details like seeing your couple’s adorable dog included and touching tributes to loved ones, you KNOW it’s going to be one of the best weddings.

Stephanie and Justin, like so many couples planning a 2020 wedding, had made the big decision to move their wedding day to the following October and eloped in an intimate ceremony the first of October, 2020. So I got to come back up to Northern Virginia to photograph their big wedding/vow renewal and it was the best time!

First, these two are clearly dearly loved by their friends and family, I could tell how excited everyone was to be there and to celebrate these two. And watching down on her 7th heaven anniversary was Stephanie’s mother, Lynne, who was lovingly included in her daughter’s special day with the memorial table and getting a sweet photo of Stephanie in her wedding dress along with a photo of her Mom on her wedding day there too.

Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous and I knew from the moment I saw Stephanie’s dress that I was in for a real treat. Stephanie looked like a goddess in her gown and not to be outshone, Justin was super dapper in his tux with special cufflinks that looked just like Callie, the couple’s sweet pup.

After sharing a sweet first look together, the ceremony began and I was grinning as Justin and his groomsmen walked down the aisle to the Avenger’s main theme playing. An instrumental version of Lover played for Stephanie and they renewed their vows, celebrating one year of marriage down with a lifetime more.

They didn’t originally plan for the ceremony to be inside of Rose Hill Manor’s great hall but due to rain during the ceremony time, the team at Rose Hill moved it inside and it was absolutely stunning! And as luck would have it, the rain stopped after the ceremony just in time for portraits outside! We were treated to the most beautiful sunset with cotton candy skies and I was absolutely obsessed with how perfect these two were and how amazing the sky was for us!

It was truly my honor being their photographer for their elopement and wedding across two years and after a partnership like that, I just miss looking forward to seeing them again! But now we have all these memories to look back on and really, I’m probably just the luckiest photographer with the best couples ever.

It was hard to narrow down favorites but I’m not even mad about it! Enjoy my favorites from Stephanie and Justin’s gorgeous gold & burgundy fall wedding at Rose Hill Manor!
