For Brides

I will forever be amazed by the incredible 2020 couples who have so gracefully made plans as things change at the last minute. Erin and Michael are no exception to 2020’s surprises and with less than two weeks before the big day, Virginia was hit with event restrictions to 25 people or less. It was a gut punch but with no delay, Erin and Michael pivoted their bigger wedding to a smaller elopement at Historic Polegreen Church near Richmond VA.

Erin was every bit as smiley and the way Michael looked at his beautiful bride to be. Erin’s emerald green dress was PERFECT for the occasion and I’m officially starting a petition for more colorful elopement dresses because this emerald number was even more lovely in person!

It was a cold December day but the sun was shining, the mood was joyful and Erin and Michael had their closest family there as they exchanged vows at Historic Polegreen Church. It reminded me so much of my own wedding day, cold and windy with a pretty short ceremony but full of love and warmth.

It’s always an honor to capture my couples’ elopements and the most fun to be able to celebrate with them again later down the road! So while we wait for their November wedding at Historic Mankin Mansion, here are my favorites from their short and sweet elopement at Historic Polegreen Church!

And another countdown begins so we can celebrate Mr & Mrs Cote (again!)

If it’s one good thing about 2020, it’s that there’s always a silver lining. Like celebrating once and partying it up again later! Congrats you two and I cannot wait for November!
