VIRGINIA BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY

EST. 2018

Here’s my favorite wedding venues in Virginia for the most incredible portraits, coming from a Richmond VA wedding photographer who knows that not only should your venue be a spectacular place for hosting a wedding but should also have equally spectacular features for your wedding day photography.

Modern & Classic VMFA Wedding

It was an incredible day filled to the brim with stunning details. Luisa & Matt decided on March 19 for their wedding date and we were blessed with one of the most beautiful Virginia spring days I’ve ever seen for a wedding. Luisa’s eye for a classy and modern wedding came to life and I was blown away by the details and how her vision came together for their VMFA wedding in Richmond, Virginia.

They waited 441 days for this day. It was so evident on their wedding day just how loved they are by the people who know them and knowing them, you just can’t help it. I loved every minute of working with these two and it never even felt like work because it was just so much fun! It was truly my honor being their photographer and friend. Enjoy scrolling through my favorites from this gorgeous whimsical and colorful summer Old Silk Mill wedding!

Last Friday I got to meet Matt & Luisa at Libby Hill Park in Richmond VA for their engagement session and I have to say it was definitely one of the most fun engagement sessions I’ve ever done! The weather was perfect and it was a sunny day which made for gorgeous golden hour portraits! Luisa and Matt were so fun to talk with and getting to hear more about them and their sweet pets! Especially since their 5 month old puppy, Max, joined us for photos and I was over the moon!

For Brides

Less than an hour before the ceremony was due to begin, the skies opened up and rain poured down. But Lauren and Omer didn’t skip a beat and they were cool and collected as we swiftly moved to Plan B. The morning and afternoon was lovely as they got ready at Linganore Winecellars in beautiful Mount Airy Maryland for their September wedding!

A blush and beaded wedding dress, bridesmaids in shades of blues, rose gold accents, a horse drawn carriage ride? Sunday was a fairytale and I loved every minute of Sophia & Ben’s summer wedding at Maymont!

Sophia told me that it was going to be an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family to celebrate and it didn’t matter if there were less than 50 people there or over 200, these two had a beautiful day and the love between them was so evident at their heartfelt first look and as they exchanged vows in Maymont’s Italian Garden.

When Cameron suggested Belle Isle for her engagement session, I was so excited and I prayed that the rain would hold off and the river wouldn’t flood and when the day came… it was PERFECT! I met Cameron and Bryce there and there was the softest sunset glow setting over the James River, their adorable 5 year old son was running around getting all his energy out and these two looked absolutely incredible as they hung out on the rocks- Cameron doing it in wedges like an absolute pro! And I’m so excited to share some highlights from their session!

Throughout life, Cindy and Brett’s paths had been close but hadn’t crossed. They both were from the same area, even went to the same middle school, they had mutual friends in common growing up but their paths never crossed. Until they met on the football field at James Madison University when they both were in marching band. Cindy said she had a huge crush on him seeing him across the field and soon a mutual friend introduced them to each other and… here we are!

Springtime in Virginia is so wild. Rain, sunshine, gusting winds and humidity. Being a Richmond wedding and engagement photographer means watching the weather and being reaaaallly flexible with plans. I met with Taylor and Cameron at Brown’s Island and we were rewarded for our flexibility with rescheduling and moving locations with the most gorgeous session at Brown’s and down at the Canal Walk! The wind was blowing Taylor’s peach floral dress just perfectly (I died and went to heaven like 10 times during this session) and of course, they were the cutest couple ever so it was the best time!
