Karlie and Tanner met me at Byrd Park in Richmond on Sunday for their engagement session and I couldn’t have asked for a prettier Sunday for their session! It’s mid-September which is giving me and Karlie all the fall feels but it’s Virginia and we got 85 degree weather with humidity but we noticed a few trees were giving us some beautiful fall colors and I had to incorporate that!

It was so much fun getting to know them during their session, talking all about the wedding plans, life and of course, our dogs! After spending some time in Richmond on a date, they met up with me and I was excited to hang out with them.

Tanner was hilarious during the portraits with an easy going style that I feel would be perfect for getting some fun groomsmen photos on the wedding day! Karlie was beyond adorable and I totally understood the fall love when she told me she sometimes wore sweaters to class even though ya know, Virginia’s still hot until October. They were so easy going and effortless models!

This golden hour light had me in photographer’s heaven and how genuine and fun these two were together made literal magic happen! I absolutely cannot wait for their summer wedding at Floyd Event Center next year!
